Company Description
Frenkel & Company is an independent insurance broker that was established in 1878. Currently, we have two programs under management----the Cosmetic Insurance Services Program--- or CIS as it is most commonly refered to--- and the Frenkel Psych Program. We act in an MGA Capacity for both of our exclusive programs.
Frenkel is structured as a flat organization. Our engineering service capabilities and claims management strategy sets us apart from other insurance brokerages. This structure allows for expedient horizontal and vertical communication between Frenkel employees and clients. The result is a timely and thoughtful response to our clients’ questions. Creative risk management and claims evaluations are key to Frenkel’s long term relationships with clients in both the Property and Casualty divisions of Frenkel and also in *Frenkel’s Benefit practice. We are known for our astute evaluations of risk management and claims issues, and the formulation of economically efficient coverage positions and options often missed by seasoned risk managers.

Frenkel is a member of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) and a New York partner in Assurex Global. Our management team maintains leadership positions on the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), and other regional community outreach programs

Cosmetic Insurance Services (CIS)
Cosmetic Insurance Services “CIS” is a division of Frenkel & Company that specializes in placing insurance coverage for the cosmetic & personal care industry.
For close to 40 years—the CIS name and brand has been synonymous with the level of knowledge and expertise needed in order to deliver comprehensive and affordable risk management programs to this diverse industry group.
The (CIS) Program is one of the largest MGA programs of its kind and is the nation’s leading provider of insurance products to the cosmetic and personal care industry. The program has the ability to address the needs of the smaller start-up cosmetic company up to the larger more established contract manufacturers, fillers, or distributors in the industry.
Cosmetic Insurance Services (CIS) is endorsed by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD). ICMAD is a non-profit trade association dedicated to fostering the growth of entrepreneurial cosmetic firms around the world.

Frenkel & Company’s Psychoanalysts Insurance Program has provided specialized insurance products to psychoanalysts, psychologists and social workers for over 40 years.
